I got times for 28 runners last week at the Falcon time trial. The
times this year have ranged from 24:19 to 51:00. The fastest time of
23:15 was set 3 years ago. The fastest women's time of 29:58 was set
2 years ago. If you didn't give me your time, please send it to me so
I can set your start time for next month.

Tonight is the Twilight Trail 10k race at 6:50pm. I'll be accepting
registrations until 6:30pm, $15.
The course is a mix of smooth dirt path and single track. It's a
rolling course with a couple of short, steep, technical climbs and
descents. Starting from the main upper lot, follow the Rawhide trail
clockwise. Go left on the Longhorn trail to the Maverick trail. Take
Maverick across to Belcher Hill. Go right, then right again on
Sawmill to the finish. For trail maps and more info on the park go to:
http://ww2.co.jefferson.co.us/ext/dpt/comm_res/openspac/white.htm
The race takes place at White Ranch Open Space Park, the upper (west)
lot. Take hwy 93 to Golden Gate Canyon in Golden; about 1.3mi north
of the junction of hwys 6, 58 and 93 in Golden, and 1.75 mi south of
56th (the road to the lower lot). Go west on Golden Gate Canyon 3.7mi
to Crawford Gulch, just past the Grange Hall. Go right 4mi to Belcher
Hill, the top of the 2nd climb. Turn right and go 1.4mi to the large
dirt lot. It takes 20-25 min to get there from Golden, so please plan
accordingly.

This Wednesday's morning run is the stairs at Bear Creek Lake Park
(T=2, P=1-2) at 6:00am. Take C-470 to Morrison Rd. Go west. Take the
first right at Rooney Rd, before entering Morrison. Then take an
immediate right into the dirt lot, across from the Conoco Station.
Meet in the lot. The run starts by taking the bike path across
Morrison Rd into the park.

This Thursday's run is our monthly potluck picnic at Lair 'O The Bear
Park (T=2-3, P=3). The run will start at 6:25pm sharp. The picnic
starts at 7:45pm.
Please stay after the run for the picnic. It's a great chance to meet
some of the other runners in the group. Bring some food and/or drink
for yourself, and to share with others. Anything is fine. We've had
anything from a simple bag of chips and cookies, to elaborate salads,
rice dishes, and homemade pies. It's OK if you can't bring anything
this time. Please join us anyway. There's always extra food. Please
bring something to eat with (plate, bowl, fork, spoon) and a cup if
you want to share some wine. I'll have a cooler with ice to keep
stuff cold while we run.

This Saturday's Evergreen Runners Circle (ERC) run is at Alderfer/3
Sisters (T=3, P=3) in Evergreen. It starts at 8:30am sharp. Take the
Evergreen Parkway exit, hwy 74, #252, from I-70, to the main light in
Evergreen, just below the dam. Go south (right if coming from I-70)
on hwy 73 towards Conifer. Make the first right, about 3/4 mile up,
on Buffalo Park Rd. Continue up the hill, past the high school, past
the lower Alderfer lots, to the open meadows at the top. Park in the
dirt lot on the right, just past the yellow house.
The ERC runs are usually about an hour long. Sometimes a few people
will meet early or continue after the run to get in more mileage.
They usually go out for coffee/breakfast afterwards. I don't lead
these runs, so please don't ask me the questions. For more info about
the ERC schedules, go to:

Several parents want to run with us but have to watch their kids. In
the past, some of them have arranged a rotating babysitting system
where one will watch the kids while the others run. I have gotten a
few names this year. If you are interested in this, send me your e-
mail. I will pass the addresses on to others who respond and let you
work it out.

Every Sunday, the Incline Club meets to run in the Pikes Peak area.
It's a large group with wide range of abilities. The runs start at
8am sharp in Manitou Springs. The runs typically are 2-3.5 hours.
They have upwards of 100 runners with a wide range of abilities. Let
me know if you are interested in joining/forming a carpool, and what
part of town you will be coming from. For more info on these runs,
including a map and detailed description of this Sunday's route, go
to www.inclineclub.com.
Looking for company on a long weekend run? Want to carpool to a
mountain race, Incline Club run or other outing? Let me know and I'll
send out the word. Please send me specific information about where
and when you want people to meet, or how to contact you. Please try
to send me the information a week in advance so I have time to get it
into my weekly message. Don't wait for me to plan everything!
