This Thursday's run is our monthly time trial at Mt. Falcon (T=3,
P=5). We will start at 6:15pm sharp.
We will use a handicap start with the slower runners starting first.
So, the more people you pass on the way up, or the fewer people who
pass you, the more you've improved relative to others. This should
get us all to the finish at about the same time. Then, we will do a
more casual group run at the top before heading down.
I will have your assigned start times based on what you ran last
month. If you didn't run last month, we can come up with an
appropriate start time either based on what you did at Falcon last
year, or from your 10k time. An estimate of your Falcon time is 75-
80% of your road 10k time, a little more or less depending on how
good you do on hills. Subtract this from 42:00 to get a start time.
E.g., If you run a 48:00 10k, you might run 36:00 at Falcon. So, your
start time would be 42:00-36:00, or 6:00.

In case of rain (stay off muddy trails) or lightning (you don't want
to be atop Green Mtn in a thunderstorm), we'll run at Bear Creek Lake
Park instead. Meet at the dirt lot, at Morrison and Rooney roads,
just across from the Conoco Station, just west of C-470. From Falcon,
go back out to hwy 8. Turn left into Morrison. Turn right on hwy 74
and go east through the town. Just after leaving the town, before you
get to C-470, at the Conoco station, turn left onto Rooney Rd, then
an immediate right into the dirt lot.
Schedule (subject to change):
6/26-Lair O' the Bear, pot-luck picnic

This Saturday's Evergreen Runners Circle (ERC) run is at O'Fallon
Park (T=3, P=3) in Kittredge. It starts at 8:30am sharp. Take hwy 74
~6mi up (west) from Morrison. Look for O'Fallon Park on the left just
before Kittredge.
The ERC runs are usually about an hour long. Sometimes a few people
will meet early or continue after the run to get in more mileage.
They usually go out for coffee/breakfast afterwards. I don't lead
these runs, so please don't ask me the questions. For more info about
the ERC schedules, go to:
http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Lodge/7018/index.html
Schedule:
6/28: Three Sisters.

Several mothers want to run with us but have to watch their kids.
Where are all of the fathers? In the past, some of them have arranged
a rotating babysitting system where one will watch the kids while the
others run. If you are interested in this, send me your e-mail. I
will pass the addresses on to others who respond and let you work it
out.

I desperately need help with my 10k race next Tuesday evening at
White Ranch. If you are connected with any youth group (e.g., sports,
scouts), I'd donate some money to the group in exchange for volunteer
help. Contact me at runahill@... ASAP.

Every Sunday, the Incline Club meets to run in the Pikes Peak area.
It's a large group with wide range of abilities. The runs start at
8am sharp in Manitou Springs. The runs typically are 2-3.5 hours.
They have upwards of 100 runners with a wide range of abilities. Let
me know if you are interested in joining/forming a carpool, and what
part of town you will be coming from. For more info on these runs,
including a map and detailed description of this Sunday's route, go
to www.inclineclub.com.
Looking for company on a long weekend run? Want to carpool to a
mountain race, Incline Club run or other outing? Let me know and I'll
send out the word. Please send me specific information about where
and when you want people to meet, or how to contact you. Please try
to send me the information a week in advance so I have time to get it
into my weekly message. Don't wait for me to plan everything!
