This Wednesday's morning run is at Red Rocks at 6am. We will do some
stair repeats - great for building hip power and running up hills -
along with some trails. Meet at the trading Post.
From C470, take the Morrison exit. Head west, through the town of
Morrison. Go past the traffic light at hwy 8. Take the next right and
follow the signs to the Trading Post.
From I-70, take the Red Rocks exit, #259. Go south, about 1 mile down
the hill. Turn right into Red Rocks and follow the signs to the
Trading Post.

"WED APRIL 16 @ 7:00 P.M. AT THE MANOR HOUSE PARKING LOT
Moon the Moon is a monthly full moon run starting from the Manor
House in Ken-Caryl up to the picnic bench at the top. We do it at
night (obviously) so night lights are recommended. Although with the
full moon, on a clear night you can do without a light. It's a great
hill climb and everyone and all speeds are welcome! It has always
been a runner's thing but I would like to open it up to Mountain
bikers as well. It has also been mostly women so I would love to see
more guys out, so Marcus & Scott have someone to run/bike with.
Sometimes we will hit Starbucks/Chipotle after....
Directions: C-470 to Ken-Caryl West; Follow the road Rt when it forks
(so that the houses are on your left); Go Right at the 4-way stop.
Park in the bottom lot of the Manor House Restaurant. There is also
signage for the Manor House you can follow.
.....Mooning the moon is optional.....The spitting contest at the top
is also optional, unless you feel confident you can beat me ;)
Can't wait to see you all there."

This Saturday's Evergreen Runners Circle (ERC) run is at the Chief
Hosa (T=1, P=2)at 8:30am sharp.
Take I-70 to the Chief Hosa exit, #253. Go south, left (if coming
from Denver) across the highway. Go left on the dirt frontage road a
short distance and park near the "Y", just below the lodge.
The ERC runs are usually about an hour long. Sometimes a few people
will meet early or continue after the run to get in more mileage.
They usually go out for coffee/breakfast afterwards. I don't lead
these runs, so please don't ask me the questions. For more info about
the ERC schedules, go to:
http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Lodge/7018/index.html
Upcoming ERC schedule:
April 26: Elk Meadow, upper lot off of Stagecoach. Rather than
running in Elk Meadow, we will run to Upper Bear Creek Road and the
lake. Some nice trail back there we don't often use.
May 3: Beaver Brook trail, Genesee.
May 10: O'Fallon Park. Run to Lair of the Bear and back.
May 17: Elk Meadow, lower lot. First ascent of the year. Yup,
let's try to go to the top.
May 24: Three Sisters. Meet at the yellow house.

Tia Rosen is looking for company on her Tue/Thur midday trail runs
Tues, 4/15, she will be at the Stegosaurus lot (SE corner of I-70 at
exit 259) at 12:50 to do the Hogback over to Red Rocks, 3 sets of
stairs, then back via Hogback, unless she can figure out how to take
a different trail back (she doesn't know the trails at Matthew
Winters).
Thurs 4/17, she'll be at the Green Mtn Florida lot at 12:50. She runs
the rolling part 1st, hit the hill in the middle and loop back around
to the end; takes just over an hour. The Florida lot is off of
Alameda, about 1.5mi SW of Simms, about 1/4-mi up from Jewell.
"I have a champagne (gold-ish) Volvo station wagon, with a Western
States 100 license plate holder on the back - if anyone wants to meet
me to do these runs. I usually get there at 12:50 or so and start
right away but I can wait till 1:00 for company if I know someone's
coming."
