Trail/Mud Reports   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #320 of 1497 |
With the recent storm, I've gotten a request to collect and send out
reports on trail conditions. Many of the trails we love to run are
still full of snow and mud. Please try to stay off the trails when
they are muddy. Your foot plants leave ruts, just like bikes do,
which makes the trails difficult for others to use and speeds erosion.

If you're out this weekend, or have first hand knowledge of a trail,
please let me know what the current conditions are, and keep me
informed as they become usable.

Some of our favorite trails we're interested in reports on (others
are welcome too):
Roxborough/Colo Trail above Waterton
Chatfield
Deer Creek
South Valley
Manor House @ Ken Caryl
Mt Falcon from the bottom (e.g., Castle, Turkey Trot)
Falcon from the top (e.g., Parmalee Gulch)
Green Mtn (Lakewood)
Apex
South Table
Chimney Gulch
North Table
White Ranch from the bottom (e.g., Belcher Hill)
White Ranch from the top
Mesa Trail (Boulder)
Walker Ranch (Boulder)

As the season goes on, we'd like to get further up into the
mountains. So, let me know when some of these (and others) become
usable:
Buffalo Creek/Pine Valley Ranch area
Lost Creek Wilderness/Kenosha
Herman's Gulch
Argetnine Pass Rd from Silverplume
Rollinsville Area
Golden Gate Canyon Park

Send your update to me at runahill@.... I'll include trail
conditions updates in my weekly message.
