The ERC run this Saturday is at the 5mi mark of Upper Bear Creek Rd
at 8:30am sharp. The run starts on a paved road for a mile before
hitting a dirt road.
Take I-70 to Evergreen Parkway, exit 252. Go ~5-6mi. At the lake, at
the bottom of the hill, just before the road curves left, go right
onto Upper Bear Creek Road. Go 5mi to a large dirt turnout at the 5mi
marker.

After the run, drive up Squaw Pass Rd for snowshoe orienteering.
There will be free snowshoes, some loaner compasses, and
instructions. I have set the course. There will be some great scenery
and good challenges both for beginner and advanced snowshoers.
Take I-70 to Evergreen Pwky. Go 2.5mi to Squaw Pass, hwy 103. Go
right and follow the road for ~14mi. Look for orienteering signs,
orange and white squares.

we have an interesting route marked out with a lot of gulch and
canyon running. You will visit the crater, an arch, etc. route is
mainly snow free. we will try to stash some water/aid.
remember no entry fee, no awards, no wimps.
We will be hosting a potluck picnic in the park (at our house at 326
e. 4th St if weather is less than ideal) after the run. Eating will
start at 2-3pm
We hope you can make it. Melissa should start radiation treatment
monday, so this is the last time you can see her before she gets
really "hot"."
