This week's run is at White Ranch. Meet at the lower lot. The early group meets
at 5:30pm; the main group starts at 6:15pm.

Run notes: This is one of our longer runs, 1:20 or so. The climbs/descents are
long, and sometimes very steep. There is some shade on the upper trails, but
much of the lower sections are exposed.

The map/routes have changed from what's on the DTR web site. Please see the
route descriptions below, and refer to the map at

All routes will start up Belcher Hill to the "new" connector trail, called
Whippletree. From there:

Short - Go left at Longhorn, stay left at Shorthorn, and then left again down
Belcher Hill back to the start. ~5mi.

Interm1 - Right on Longhorn, left at next junction onto Shorthorn, continue to
Belcher Hill, then left down the hill. ~6.1mi.

Interm2 - Right onto Longhorn, stay right at next junction (still Longhorn),
left at Maverick, then left at Belcher Hill down to the start. ~7.5mi

Long - Stay right on Longhorn past Maverick. just past Maverick, go left at the
fork, past the bathrooms, to the upper lot. Then, take Sawmill, to Belcher, back
down. ~7.9mi

Extra Long - Towards the top, the faster runners may decide to head over to
Wranglers Run befoer the upper lot, and/or to the top of Belcher Hill after the
upper lot.

DTR runs are not races. We ask the faster runners to start slowly, to keep the
group together for the first 5-10 minutes. After that, we spread out and
naturally form smaller sub-groups. We ask experienced runners to wait at key
intersections to help guide newer runners. Please choose/adjust your route to
finish in time.

Bring warm and dry clothing for after the run.

Everyone is invited to join us for dinner after the run. We will pick a nearby
restaurant at the end of the run.

Carpool: There's a regular carpool group for those of you who live or work near
downtown. Meet at the corner of 9th and Elati, by Denver West High School, at
5:25 each Thursday. We will alternate who drives.
