AFTERNOON TO 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING.
A COMPLEX STORM SYSTEM NOW CENTERED OVER SOUTH-CENTRAL WYOMING IS
EXPECTED TO REDEVELOP OVER THE EASTERN PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON AND
THEN DROP QUICKLY SOUTHWARD LATER TONIGHT. THE AMOUNT OF SNOW FOR
THE ADVISORY AREA WILL DEPEND ON THE PRECISE TRACK THE UPPER
LEVEL LOW TAKES AS IT REFORMS EAST OF THE MOUNTAINS. AT THIS TIME
IT APPEARS THAT THE BEST CHANCE OF A PERIOD OF MODERATE TO HEAVY
SNOW WILL BE DELAYED A BIT...AND IS NOW EXPECTED TO BE THIS
AFTERNOON INTO EARLY THIS EVENING. THE TIMING COULD PRODUCE VERY
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS FOR RUSH HOUR THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE STILL EXPECTED TO BE 2 TO 6 INCHES.
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY IN THE
FOOTHILLS. NORTH WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH WILL
DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND PRODUCE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING
SNOW.
We are running again this Wed at Bear Creek Lake Park if anyone is interested in joining us. We will be running from the gas station in Morrison at 5pm on Wed.
Directions were to meet: Take C-470 to Morrison Rd. Go west. Take the first right at Rooney Rd , then an immediate right into the dirt lot, across from the Conoco Station. The road over the Hogback is now closed as a FYI.
Trailmap: http://dtr.runuphillracing.com/Maps/BearCreekLakePark.html
I will be driving a red 4Runner. We will be running for an 1 hour to 1:15 at a conversational pace and meet up along the trail if we get spread out, no one gets left behind. Looks like we may have some more "weather" tomorrow so be ready for that. If the trails are muddy we will do a road run around Bear Creek or over the road on the Hogback. You may also want to bring a change of dry clothes for after the run.
Feel free to drop me an e-mail if you have any questions.
