Yes we are running tonight, in case there was any doubt.
When it's cold like this, we don't stand around outside before or
after the run. We usually sit in our cars until just before we're
ready to run. That means no introductions, and very brief or no route
explanations. If you haven't run at South Valley before, please review
the maps in advance.
If you're in the slower group, start late, or want to run shorter
distance, please don't attempt to run the entire Grazing Elk loop.
Just go part way out, then turn around and return the way you came.
If you're running the entire loop, it's about 2.2mi around (plus ~1.75
mi ea way there and back). We usually run counter-clockwise. Make a
visual note of the junction at the start of the loop, so you don't
miss it at the end.

Roads are slick, so please allow for extra driving time. We may delay
the start a few minutes, but we don't want to wait too long in the
cold. For road conditions, traffic reports, and highway cams:

After the run, you're all invited to join us for dinner. We won't
stand around after the run discussing where to go. We'll go to
Chipotle, the usual from there, unless there are strong objections. To
get there, turn right out of the lot. Stay right at the stop sign at
the top of the hill. Stay right at the light ~ 1 mi down the hill.
Continue out of the valley, and under the highway. Just past the next
light, turn right into the big shopping lot, by the Starbucks.
Chipotle is to the left just after you enter the lot.
Running in the snow is lots of fun!
