Sun., Jan. 14th's meeting   Message List

So, how was the meeting Sun.? Any important decisions made or changes voted on?
Will
meetings be on a regular basis w/ a designated weekend each month?

I did not reply to the newsletter w/ intent to set any one or more people off. I
was trying to
convey my disappointment of the short notice given for such a meeting. I'm sure
I am not
the only one who was taken by surprise by the dates the letter was sent and the
meeting
date. I understand they may have been mentioned at the end of the meeting during
pig
roast weekend, but most people don't sit w/ a notepad and paper and take
specific notes.
We rely on the officers to keep us well informed. I did read the newsletter
correctly and
addressed the areas I thought should be discussed since I would not be able to
attend this
meeting. Some of the areas I addressed were misread or misunderstood. I was just
expressing what others and I have discussed reguarding these issues.

We all know there are two trains of thought within our club as with most
organizations,
but if we try to work together instead of disagreeing and trying to find fault
at the expense
of another this would work much better. For example, when issues are confusing
in a
letter and clarification is asked the answer should be more professional and not
so
accusatory of an individual. Stating a response in general terms will still get
your point
accrosed without singleing people out and causing waves.

I am very disappointed that I have been made an example and tried to be shown in
an
inappropriate light. As I was writing this message I have been informed that my
letter and
its response was printed, copied, and handed out at the meeting. That is quite
rude and
unprofessional, again as I was not able to "defend" myself if attacked or
discussed if that
was needed. I have been a member for 13 years and worked diligantly for the last
10
years. I have not missed more than 2-3 meetings in that entire time. I have been
one of
the only females at the track participating in the monthly activities winter,
spring, summer
and fall. I respect and consider most club members as my friends, but this
behavior is
making me rethink my detication and time given to this club.
