THE BOYS NEED A NEW STADIUM...   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #360 of 9200 |
Well, what's up guys? Miss me? Sorry I haven't posted lately, but
there hasn't been anything worth talking (or complaining) about
concerning the GREATEST FRANCHISE IN SPORTS HISTORY (screw the
yanks). That is until I read today's paper.

Today's topic...The Cowboy's new stadium. They need one, but will
they get one? No doubt, the Cowboys are in the back of the pack when
it comes to state of the art stadiums for nfl teams. Therefore, I do
believe Jerry will get a new stadium for the 'Boys within 3-4 years.
I just don't think it will be through the "proposal" they put forward
to the Dallas city council(or whatever it has to go through). It
involves too much of the taxpayer's money. Now, I'm not from Dallas,
but I don't think a bill would pass that would increase hotel and car
rental rates just to build a stadium. Even though Dallas does need
one.

I do think Jerry could afford to pay for a new state of the art
stadium out of his own pocket. And I think it may be better that way.
Think about it. I'm pretty sure he is a multi-billionare, and he will
get his money back in the long run. Via Cowboys home games,
concerts, monster trucks, moto cross, political events, the yearly
Longhorns/Sooners game, and the Cotton Bowl which may become the 5th
BCS game, if it had a new state of the art stadium, in a couple of
years. Another form of income could be to sell the name of the
stadium to a texas based company, not like the "Stros did with
Enron, but like the Texans did with Reliant. I don't know, maybe
something like DELL STADIUM? Or try this on for size cause this one's
my favorite...NEW TEXAS STADIUM at DR. PEPPER PARK. The soda company
can change the color of their cans to the Cowboy's colors (during
football season) and other things like that. I don't know, I'm just
throwing it out there. I would love to see them get the stadium they
want. I do think Jerry is dropping the ball on this stadium thing.
Didn't the owner(s) of the Texans pay for their stadium out their own
pocket? I think they did.

Another thing, I prefer an open stadium, to a retractable roof
stadium or a dome. Play in the elements, it's not baseball! I hate
astro-turf. I prefer natural grass or that half grass/half turf stuff
(looks better than natural grass) at least the kind the 'Boys have.
There are two or three different kinds you know.

That's all I have for now. See ya. REDSKINS SUCK!!!!
