Hi Tom & All,
Thanks to all for the 411. I live in San Diego area near Carlsbad/Oceanside. I'd checked out the IGSA World Cup a few weeks ago in San Dimas, Frank Bonelli Reg Park. Mostly stand up boards with some luge & handful of inlines, my interest. Cool on CHP. I'll aerial map your route on google. Am fairly familiar with Saratoga area as I have some buds who live there. May get a visitor soon.LOL
I appears you guys are pretty actively skating downhill. I have been this group for some, however, and this is the most activity I've seen in awhile. So I get these are fun skates as opposed to the IGSA organized events. Is there a website? Schedule? Fees? Or do I just watch for activity on this group? If you do the night downhills I may have seen some of your clips on You Tube or the CORA site.

Hwy 9 is not closed, it is a Hwy. It goes from Skyline Blvd in Santa Clara County to the town of Saratoga. The road goes other places too but the 6.5 miles we skate end up practically in Saratoga. We skate generally slightly faster than cars and about the same speed as bicycles. It is pretty much all downhill all the way. So we do not need a closed road to skate. We have the CHPs blessing for this skate. They came to check us out once and said, "you are not breaking any laws, have fun"
Most of the roads we skate on are open to traffic. Where do you live Karl?
Tom
