This weekend's plan is the Bonelli race on Saturday. The course is
pretty straight and very fast (over 50, faster than any of our regular
spots), although if a less advanced skater wanted to control speed it
would be possible to keep it to half that by standing up (just be sure
to tell the starter to hold the next group for a few seconds). It's a
good place for drafting strategy, and the results are often surprises
due to the finish scramble when the trains break up. So don't go
expecting a technical challenge or a guaranteed finish, go looking for
some fast fun on a closed course and not having to drive the chase car
at all. It's also a chance to give a different sport a try during
practice, there's always a spare luge or skateboard or bike to be
tried by the adventurous.

If finances are a concern, go early and volunteer to help with setup
and teardown for a complimentary day of racing.
