I don't agree with this provision. I will go along with it if we vote
it into being, however.

I think closed fists that don't grasp the body or clothing of the racer
in front should be ok also.

I don't agree that the racer in front has to allow it. If the racer in
front doesn't want the contact then he/she should pull out of the way
and let the overtaking racer pass.

I don't think that the racer in front has the right to say whether a
racer behind him/her can push in a draft line. If the racer in front
doesn't want to be pushed they should let the racer behind pass.

I think you mean "controls the lateral movement but not the forward
motion of the racer in front since a push would add velocity to the
racer in front.

I think that we should write into the rules something about contact
originating from a lateral direction. For example, incidental contact,
i.e., shoulders bumping unintentionally should be allowed but grabbing,
pushing in a lateral direction, twisting another skater should not be
allowed. If a skater takes an inside line in a turn that causes contact
that impedes the progress of a racer on a line further outside then the
racer on the inside line is in violation. If a racer on an inside line
touches a body part of a racer on a line further outside and that
contact does not slow down the racer on the outside line then the racer
on the inside line is not in violation.
