bumbed and bruised.
Monday morning was a diferent story.
I woke up and tried to sit up for about an hour.No dice
With some help from Michelle and Jermy thay got me to my feet.Ahh hot
shower a cup of Joe and I'm off to work.Whoo.
I get to the shop and punch in . My boss asked ,how the race go."Great"
And you "good" He says what's with your hand?hhmm
I thought it was a sprain thumb at most and my be soom bruising on my
right upper chest . Wrong
He sent me to the Emergency Room.
Thats when i found out that i had broken my left thumb joint and a couple
of upper ribs on the right side durring my crash in stand up event. And
that I was going to have to have pins to set the broken joint.
After beenig bounced around the system for all most two weeks. Michelle
straitend out the confussion with my

Michelle Kicks butt and love her for it. She got me in and seen to day by
the hand Doc . And yes the pins are needed and i,m going under the knife
in the next day or two.

streetluge.net:
Race organizer, teamate, and friend, Rusty Riley, was airlifted back
to Tulsa, Ok after impacting a tree at speed on the Talimena Drive Sunday
afternoon. His injuries are a broken rib, partially collapsed lung, some
internal bleeding, bruised kidney, and bruised liver. He is currently
doing well and they expect him to go home in about 5 days. No word yet on
how long he will be off of his board. Knowing Rusty it won't be long... as
the EMT's were putting him on the backboard, we were trying to determine
how to mount trucks to it and also take advantage of the excellent body
position provided by the straps and cervical collar. I think it would be
legal in the new class. Maybe we could make a bedpan fairing?
He is currently at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. If anyone would
like to contact him, I'm sure he'd love to hear from you. I believe he
also has his phone with him for those of you who have his cell number. If
anyone needs more info you can e-mail me at my address above.
