Granted I am not too sure about McGriff's Defensive Capabilities at first but I don't feel much better about Darryle Ward's either. He had an easy ground ball hit to him in the second game of the season, the one that we lost in Arizona. The play reminded me a lot of the Bill Buckner play in the '86 World Series but to a lesser degree. I still believe that if Ward made that play, Arizona would not have scored. Dave Hansen certainly looked real good over at first for San Diego last night I have to say. The only other players that I would assume could play there would be Ron Coomer, Mike Kinkade and Paul LoDuca but none of those guys will be starters. Freddy did have a nice homerun last night though.
