LOL, all seems to have gotten quiet except for us. Well, Lugo certainly has the figures to argue over when that time comes. The main thing is you support the team even if you don't always agree with every move. I'm with you. Whoever wears blue I support. These road games starting tonight are vital. Lugo can fly on the bases. gonna be interesting from here on out.

As for next year, I've heard he wants a contract somewhere between what Furcal and Orlando Cabrera got, so that's something for Ned to think about.

you say contains lots of "ifs". I will ask again. if you think the trade for Lugo is weak, have you actually seen him play and what is there that you think is weak? All of baseball is "if". If Billy Ashley had turned into a superstar and on and on. For me, I'm going to just relax and see what happens. We'll see how much the guys Colletti has traded actually become anything beyond average when they have proven something as Lugo and Maddux have. > > "Mike K." wrote: If Guzman puts it together in spring training and AAA next season, he > could replace any of those guys before next season ends. Well, I'm sure a lot of players want contracts like what Furcal and Cabrera have but I don't know if he will get it. Maybe but I doubt from LA, not with Kent...
Hard to predict the future. What we do know is at this point in the season Kent is not the Kent of the past, for whatever reason. I don't think his being under...
Colletti has also stated that he may not be done THIS season. There is also the waiver wire trades where I believe a player has to clear waivers and can be...
I duno what's this big infatuation of the TB players. Lugo's got nice numbers offensively, but he's average defensively from what I gather. Given he doesn't...
Geez, Zo...you and I have the same thought about retaining Maddux as pitching coach. How about that, lol. BTW, this is just off the top of my head but how is a...
A .957 fielding percentage ranks him second to last among qualified AL shortstops (Furcal is .960). Although his range factor is about middle-of-the-pack. ......
Izturis goes to a team where he can play shortstop everyday so it's good for him. I knew when Furcal was signed that Izturis would never play short again for...
Certainly having too much talent is a happy problem to have. I guess one of my failings is that I know the Dodgers (somewhat) and not really alot about other...
Hey, you're not alone. You oughta see what's going on in some of the other groups too. People are going nuts, especially the DePodesta people. In all of what I...
Hey now! I am probably considered one of the "Depodesta people" and I am not going nuts with the trades. Granted, I am not totally ecstatic, but haven't...
Yes, I know you are....lol. Now, I did not say all Depo folks. Well, if you have MLB.com put one of the Tampa Bay games on and replay it. If not, I think...
The way you are talking about him Harry and I didn't even know he had so many stolen bases is making me realize maybe the move is a good one. I knew about the...
Well, for instance I read a couple of posts just ranting and they never had even looked at the guy's numbers. Colletti is not a fool. He got Lugo and I will...
I guess Lugo is a free agent at the end of the season so I don't know how great this trade really was. I like the Maddux trade since only Izturis was given up...
Lugo can always be resigned if he pans out which his record so far indicates he will just like Beltre could have been. Even so, the real question to me is who...
You're right Harry. Lugo can be resigned and I guess Maddux' contract is up after this season too and he too can be resigned if he wants to pitch next season....
If Maddux still has gas I would love seeing him finish his career as a Dodger. He's one of my favorites. Proof you don't have to throw 100 mph to win. Kristin...
You're right about that Harry because Barry Zito doesn't throw that hard either and I would love to have him pitch for the Dodgers next season. Kristin Harry...
I have a feeling they will land Zito. I hope so. I believe Maddux greatest value will be in his POSITIVE influence over the much ballyhooed youngsters. Did I...
I love the new job Harry thank you for asking! Anyway, I have to believe that Maddux' presense on the team can only better the kids, most notably Chad...
Yes, it would be to Billingsley's benefit to get some fatherly advice. Maddux will be a terrific influence on the entire team. Brad would serve himself well to...
I hope that Greg does decide to come back next season. He sure is doing a good job tonight. MAddux has walked a few but I would like to think it could have...
When it's Maddux pitching I can handle 3 walks. Maybe his record this year has something to do with a team that was going nowhere. He did start out 5-0. I...

Yeah, I've look at that every now and then. I like to go by what I see for my own eyes rather than look at a bunch of stats. Now, don't get me wrong. I rely on...
