The purpose of this group is to discuss and research the traditional French method of self defence called "Defense Dans La Rue" and to adapt its skills for modern use. Discussions on the associated disciplines that form the technical frame work that comprise the DDLR system, which includes La Boxe Anglaise, La Boxe Francaise, Savate, La Lutte, Jui-Jitsu, La Canne, Couteau, Improvised Weaponry and the methods of the French Apache, are welcome.

This is not a sport list, this is a combative list interested in the history, reconstruction and modern use of Defense Dans La Rue.

The Australian Savate page @ http://www.savateaustralia.com and the new DDLR site @ http://defensedanslarue.wordpress.com are good reference sites for our forum and I would urge all members to keep abreast of updates there.
