Well, it looks like the momentum in our growing (playoff) rivalry
with the pats is about to swing in our favor.  If everyone remembers,
the last time we faced the pats in the AFC Champ. game, nobody gave
the Pats much consideration to win that game.  Unfortunately we all
know how that game turned out.
Well, all the buzz floating around to this point is indicating that
the Pats are on their way to the SuperBowl.  With our record, and
with the way we absolutely man-handled this mediocre team the first
time, the critics have begun to write us into the offseason already.

what happens when you anger the football gods...a la the Jets, Colts,
Vikings,...shall I continue...

I want to take a moment to Comment on our next
advasary, the boston tea partiers.  Now, i know they
like clam chowder there.  But they jsut need to CLAM
UP with all this corey dillon, tom brady, patriot
crap.  Lets remeber last time the Boston tea party
came to town.  they got stomped.  They lost to a team
that (at that time) was jsut a scrappy group of guys
with a rookie qb.  Now they have corey dillon back and
htey think that its the playoffs, the party is going
to change.  well they got the party but we are going
to be dancing.  Farrior, Polamalu, Bettis, Staley, Big
Ben, Plax, Hines, and Bell.  Talk about that factor.
the leagues Best defense, best record, 2nd in rushing,
not the mention the rookie sensation that is
undefeated.  SO i say this to the tea partiers.  Bring
the party...but the Iron City has a lil something to
put in your tea.  BRING IT.

during my recent heartattack while watching the game this weekend.  I
am speaking to those who were relying on me as their first line of
consumption capability due to my convenient location to the beverage
distributors.  I had a true moment of weakness while watching Ben
struggle with his new playoff surroundings.
But, as Ben showed how unflappable he truly is, I crumbled in
complete emotional exhaustion.  This, I promise will not happen again.

Saturday was a great day.  Tough as it was, it was still a win.  And
it was a great day to be be a fan.  The registration drive was
GREAT.  We registered over 150 prople for the new Fan club.  I just
wanted to take a second to thank Mark and the Pour House Staff, they
are not on this list, so when you see them, let them know.  In
Addition, I want to thank Batman for running to Kinkos, Mia for being
aggressive upstairs to get people to sign up, Addy for her help in
organizing, and the godfather himself for getting on the mic for the
raffles.

I just wanted to drop a note of thanks to everyone for being fans, It
was a great day.

Just wanted to take a minute to thank Sterling and whoever motivated
him to start the DC Steeler Nation.

This Saturday will be packed to the gills with potentially new
members.
Right now, I am just another Steeler fan who can hardly sit still in

First of all, I owe all of you a big thanks....I was worried about
starting this, but i have wanted to for about 10 weeks now and
finally did it with everything that went on last week.

I wanted ot let you know that if you see the membes list and you dont
see someone on there jsut yet, let a moderator know.  We can add them
to an invite list.  I am keepong tabs on who is joining when.  When
we go full blown official, there will be something for the early
birds!  My goal over the next few weeks is to have 100 people join
the group.  This is an a,bisios goal.  The baltimore fan club has
over 5000 (yes THOUSAND) members, yet only about 200 people in their
group.  I think we can show the rest of the Steeler Nation that we
are for real by putting up impressive numbers in a short period of
time.  But with all things its going to take a small bit of work for
all of us.  Please, Please, Please...promote the yahoo group to your
steeler friends.  get them to join.  As we progress towards a real
website, the more members we have the cheaper it will be to for us,
as we can just rent space out of the bottom of the website for
people.  My goals are to have off-season events, a Flag Football
team, as well as a Steeler Kickball and Softball team.  We can do
this!!!!!!

As for Saturday, check out the calender, as you can see its going to
be a drunk day.  Tailgating starts at 1 and the game is at 4....then
Mia's B-day.  (Mia has posted some cool pictures in the photos
section..check them out) Addy and I have been working on a way to
recruit more and more people for the Nation though a email
registration raffle.  I will make sure that everyone who is entered

             The Greater Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau
(GPCVB) is urging the faithful from across Steelers Nation and around
the world to show their true colors by participating in the largest
simultaneous wave of The Terrible TowelT ever attempted.

stand and swing their Terrible Towels in unison just as the game
begins at approximately 4:35 p.m. EST.
