Hey everybody-

It was great to see such a large turnout at the Pour House yesterday, despite
the game's outcome (seriously...a field goal kicking contest?) It was good to
see some old friends in the for the game and some new faces.

I always emphasize taking care of your servers and bartenders during the games
as they work so hard to make the game an enjoyable experience for all the
Steeler fans who watch games at the Pour House. It is also imperative that we
take care of the bar itself. During yesterday's game, likely during the fourth
quarter, someone made a foot/pint glass sized hole in the base of the toilet
making it unusable and incoveniencing not only the fans, but the bar as well.
This type of behavior is highly disrespectful and I shared the bar management's
frustration over the incident. If you saw or heard anything about who might have
done this, please e-mail me directly at katie@....

Win or lose we always have a great time at the Pour House and the bar staff goes
out of its way to make it that way, so please show them the same respect.

Pour House showed the Home Opener on FSN Pittsburgh. I know its not Versus, but they will put on games at request.

Front Page is a Caps bar, but they should have games too for others.

While we're waiting to hear whether or not our efforts with getting VS back on DirecTV worked, it seems like the only option is finding a bar that has Comcast. The Pour House (and nearly every sports bar around) has DirecTV. I'd suggest calling RFD; they have a big hockey following, so they might even have DIrecTV and Comcast.

If all else fails, you can watch it online at Justin.tv.

I usually watch the Pens games at home via Center Ice on DirecTV. Tonight's game, and a few others throughout the season, are on Versus. DirecTV dropped Versus since last season, so I can't watch it. I may be mistaken, but I believe Pour House also has DirecTV.

Anyone know of a place, hopefully in the District, to catch the game? It'd probably have to have Comcast. I may try the Red and the Black, but would love to hear any other suggestions for this and future games, since many playoff games are on Versus as well.

This is just a friendly reminder that one of our fanclub members, Lori
Robertson, is trying to organize a bus trip up to Baltimore for the Nov. 29
Steelers vs. Ravens game.

Here are the details:
Bus to Steelers-Ravens game Nov. 29
Leaving D.C. at 5 p.m., returning immediately after the game.

Cost: About $30 - $40 per person, depending on the number of people.

If we have 25 people, we can get a standard mini-bus for about $30
each. With 35 people, we can get a luxury bus with bathroom and TV for
about $39 per person. Might be an extra dollar or two to park this
thing in a stadium lot.

I know that this doesn't answer your question, but you may also try to force the DirecTV hand (I had to do this to get the NFL network back on Comcast and it actually worked)

I usually watch the Pens games at home via Center Ice on DirecTV. Tonight's game, and a few others throughout the season, are on Versus. DirecTV dropped Versus since last season, so I can't watch it. I may be mistaken, but I believe Pour House also has DirecTV.

Anyone know of a place, hopefully in the District, to catch the game? It'd probably have to have Comcast. I may try the Red and the Black, but would love to hear any other suggestions for this and future games, since many playoff games are on Versus as well.
