There was a long item on More 4 News this evening to coincide with
this. It mainly dealt with the idea of "shared space" - removing
signs, railings, kerbs and clutter and encouraging motorists, cyclists
and pedestrians to use space together safely. They claimed it had
reduced accidents by 60% in some trials.
