Dave;

Looks like Ruth is interested. Could we meet in the middle and make it 9:30?  Let’s see who else we hear from.  30 to 40 miles sounds good.

------

Ruth;

Yes, I would love to wear the Turkey gizmo on my hat for the “Run for Food”.  Thank you.  Don’t forget packet pickup tomorrow.

Hello Jan,

I would be interested in a Friday or Saturday ride depending on what day my son-in-law will help me to get a Christmas tree.  I would prefer to start riding at 10:00 instead of 9:00 if possible so my nose, toes and everything else in-between won't get frozen.  I'll see you at the turkey run Thursday with a turkey on my head. I hope you will wear the one that I got you!

Anyone interested in a Saturday morning ride to burn off some of that pumpkin pie?  Let me know.  We can discuss a route and a time.  Hey Ken A, you owe me (and Kerry, don’t start thinking you’re off the hot seat)  J………..

I know it was open and "finished" a few days ago, but then I tried to ride it day before yesterday and they were chip-sealing the corner where Bell turns north.

Below is from local rider, Tray Robinson -  good day to get in some miles for a great cause - map will be provided at start, but I may have a copy to post today:

Hello everyone, this is a reminder about the upcoming ride on Sunday.  We will meet at the downtown plaza and take off at 8am.  Unfortunately I will not be able to ride with you this year as I am recovering from a medical issue, but I will be following along in my truck!J  I will send out the route tomorrow and have copies the day of as well.  It will be chilly so dress warm.

Hello everyone, if you are interested in participating in a World Aids Day Ride here in Chico which will take place on Sunday, November 29th at 8:00 am (World Aids Day is December 1st every  year) please let me know. The ride will be 29 miles (representing the 29 years of HIV/AIDS). All cyclists are encouraged to wear RED.  Last year nine of us participated.  There is an effort to have this ride take place throughout the country starting on the same day and same time.

Take Care,

Tray

A few guys did this ride Sunday (link below) at Sacramento River Bend Rec Area just north of Red Bluff off the Jelly's Ferry exit.  What a blast.  They're kind of a mix between Oroville & Chico trails and with beautiful views off the bluffs over the river.  Highly recommended.   But I've heard they can get a bit muddy during the winter.

FYI: If you're riding down Neal back to Chico, Chico Oro Highway was closed today east of the Bridge to the Midway for resurfacing. Discovered this on my Neal/Honey Run loop this morning - requires a little extra time for a detour out to Durham Pentz Road.

Hi Everyone! The next event in the Chico Hill Climb Time Trial Series will be held this Saturday(not Sunday!) - the Neal Road Time Trial on Saturday, November 14th. Registration will open at 8:30am at the corner of Neal Road and Hwy. 99, with the first rider going off at 9:01am. The Neal Road Time Trial is approximately 8.2 miles long and includes approximately 1,450 feet in elevation gain.

Also, if anyone can help me start the riders off, that would be AWESOME - you can still race the event, just be the last rider to go off. If you can help, shoot me an e-mail at lorrod7@....

Hope to see you there!

Just fyi: I tried to rsvp to this via the link at the bottom of JJ's email, but it didn't work, and I'm guessing it's because you must reply with the same email JJ used to send it to you, which is Cyclesport's yahoo address.  Just a guess--didn't try using the CS email address.

Subject: [CycleSportCycling] Off topic - Disney Cruise party :-)

Hi all,

So many things to do this weekend already I know, but I have one more. I've talked to some of you about Disney stuff on the rides before and since I can't remember everyone, I'm just sending out a general invite to those of you who might be interested in hearing more about everything Disney, with a focus on the Cruise line, and of course going to a fun party :-) Here is the info, if you are interested send me an email at thorstagge at gmail dot com and I'll send you a 'houseparty.com' official invite.

JJ

Hi all,
Molly and I have been picked to host a "House Party" for the Disney Cruise Line and they have sent us some neat stuff to share so we are throwing a party and you are invited!
The party will go from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at our house and we are planning to watch the video that they sent us about the Cruise line and then the Pirates of the Carribean movie and possibly Muppet Treasure Island. Feel free to dress up in your favorite Pirate attire if you have it, or just come as you are! The theme for the night is Pirates on the Carribean...*argh*
The plan is to watch the video, pass out the information they provided for us, like Cruise line brochures, be available to answer any questions for those who have ever thought about going. We will probably end up talking about everything Disney, including Disneyland and Disney World, and maybe pin trading :-). If you have been thinking of going and want some tips and to enjoy a party come on by for a bit or the whole thing!
The Disney Cruise line also included some party 'tokens' which will give each family that attends a chance to win a free Disney Cruise.
We will have food and drinks, but feel free to bring a small appetizer or drink to share with the crowd.
Please rsvp with Houseparty.com so they know and we know who is coming!
We hope you can make it!

Jay and Molly
