Well first I have had major problems with the computer and lost
EVERYTHING that was on it. Then my fiance ended up in the hospital due
to a stroke. She's fine now ( knock on wood ).
I just found out that the curling league has started and I never knew
about it until today. I guess I will not be participating this time
around.
Well I hope everyone is doing good. I am doing better, maybe I can
make it out there soon :)
I told Cindy Ronzoni that I will join her on a Saturday as a Sub. We are hosting three Learn To Curl sessions ourselves the next three Sundays. I will see if there are any other crazy Hollywood Curlers that want to join in....

Seattle team posts big win
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 4, 2008
Seattle team posts big win at 2009 U.S. Mixed Doubles Championship
(TWO HARBORS, Minn.) - Seattle's Brady and Cristin Clark have won five
U.S. mixed team titles but have yet to conquer the mixed doubles
format. They got off to a fine start Thursday afternoon as they handed
Tom Hemenway and Margie Nelson an 11-2 loss at the 2009 U.S. Mixed
Doubles Championship at the Two Harbors Curling Club.
The Clarks methodically broke open a close game early and kicked it
into high gear in the second half to post the win. "We were only up
one at the halfway point, but I'm always comfortable if I know I have
the hammer to start the second half," Brady Clark said.
Hemenway (Scottsdale, Ariz.) had to make a tough draw in the first end
to avoid the steal and did it again in the third end to keep his team
in the game. "Tom made some crucial draws," Cristin Clark said of her
opponent.
Leading 3-2 after four ends, the Clarks scored three points to open up
the second half and then stole another three when Hemenway couldn't
convert one more big shot. A steal of two in the seventh end
mathematically put Hemenway and Nelson (Duluth, Minn.) out of the game.
"It's always nice to start out with a win," Brady Clark said. "We knew
we needed to keep the pressure on in the second half and force Tom to
make big shots."
Are we going to curl? When I asked around, it seemed that our team was about the only team available.

Hi Curlers,
This saturday we will have another "fall league" set of games - if you missed the last night, it was a lot of fun.
Our lines for the houses and hogs are in pretty rough shape. The rink manager has offered to help us fix them by having his crew paint and re- flood the ice, but we need to router out the lines we want filled. We have been offered the time to do this after the games on Saturday (or potentially during - we probably won't use all four sheets) - if you would be available to help do this, we need at least a couple people to pull this off - please let me know if you could help out!

Curl San Diego Curlers,
Hollywood Curling is donating seven brand spanking new step-on sliders
to Curl San Diego in the effort to help you guys out with the loss of
some of your sliders. These are hand made from one of our member, John
McIntosh, who has made us some in the past. I find them better than
the ones they sell.....
Hollywood just got 2 sets of stones from the USCA, and we are blaiming
it all on Jon Wilson!
Thanx Jon.
