Re: [Curl_SanDiego] Cold Storage for Curling Rocks

I've done this before and can offer advice anyone who is willing to build it. I can't offer fabrication help since I now live in Phoenix. The commute is a bit long...

Hi Curlers,

We are currently scheduling ice time for 1 or 2 learn to curl clinics
in September, followed by a fall league - hope to get this set by mid-
next week...

In other news, the ice rink has a few small fridges they are disposing
of because their cabinets are beat up. However, the compressors still
work, so we have the opportunity to use them to power a cold storage
enclosure for the rocks. We just need to build the enclosure, which
will need to be well insulated, rugged, and cheap - no easy task. If
anyone has an idea for how to do this and maybe some time to work on
it, please let me know.

As anyone who has moved the rocks onto snow to cool them before curling
can attest, there is no understating the value of cold storage for the
rocks...

Good Curling,
-Elliot
