RE: [Curl_SanDiego] Re: Curling Equipment

That’s excellent – thanks Heather.

For those of you who don’t know, Heather’s hometown club, Carleton Place Curling Club up near Ottawa in Canada, has agreed to “twin” with our club.  What exactly that means, we’re not sure yet – but CPCC has generously donated some used brooms and sliders for the club to use (and Heather has been nice enough to transport down).  These will help with open houses and players who don’t have their own equipment yet.

CPCC has been around for 111 years – if you have a chance, check out their website.  They give us something to aspire to here in San Diego.

Elliott, just so you know, I'll be bringing another 6 donated brooms and some sliders back from the Carleton Place Curling Club when I return to San Diego next week, for a total of 12 brooms from them so far. Six is about all that I can do as the equivalent of one piece of baggage on the airplane.
