With the acquisition of four sets of curling stones, we will soon be
able to begin regular curling here in San Diego! Once league play
begins, all participants will need to be members in Curl San Diego
in order to play. Here is how membership will work:

- Memberships will be renewed annually at a cost of $50 per member,
and $25 per additional member from the same household.

- Each member will be enrolled as a member of the US Curling
Association, which is the governing body for the sport. For those
of you who are hockey players, this is like being a member of USA
hockey.

- Of the $50, $28 will go to USCA dues. The remaining $22 will be
used to help fund equipment for the club. In order to start curling
in San Diego, we need about $20,000 worth of equipment (rocks are
expensive!) - we have been able to delay some of these costs, but we
will continually need to raise money to pay off what we have and
save for future purchases.

- As a member, your cost for participating in open houses will be $5
instead of $15.

If you are coming to the open house this Saturday or one in the near
future (we're trying to schedule one for 10/7 as well), we can sign
you up for a membership there.
