For some reason the message itself did not go through, just the subject line.
Any bike shop that has the bike will always give you a test ride, the problem is
finding a shop that has the Cruzbike in stock. Honestly, I think most people
will have problems with the weaving and that may actually effect sales in a bad
way. My review of the bike explains why at www.diegoscruzbike.0catch.com if you
are interested.

The web page is one of those free pages so I can't vouch for how good the host
is. I had everything on Geocities, but they closed down and I read some good
things about 0catch.com but then again I've heard from some others that it has
its set of problems.

I'm just looking for an easy website that I can share my Cruzbike experience on
and so far the 0catch website is it.

At least in my conversion, it's not the conversion kit that limits the wheel
size, it's the geometry of the donor frame. My GF Joshua frame has an arch
between the front fork that would clear a 700c wheel/tire combo by millimeters,
if at all; a 700c wheel would clear all the conversion bits easily.

Hi,

I have done it. It works fine.
I looked up definition of 'hardtail' bike - and it says as ATB with aluminum frame. I used a donor bike like that.

See these photos -

See the donor bike photo and the converted bike.

You could make the bike work. Keep in mind the seat pan for the kit
is 11inches long and the back will be mounted 4-8 inches in front of
the seat post so you need about 16 inches of fairly level top tube.
The seat pan tilt should be 4 inches from front to back.More than 4
inches and the pan will dig into your legs. You also want to be able to
rake the seat back 45 degrees or so for the best ride
If you use that frame just plan on doing some extra work
on the seat mount. Jack

Most shipping is done from the US, North Carolina, as I set that up for the US - where most of the action is. I still keep some stock in Australia.

You are welcome to make an offer for the kit with or without tires/tubes.  I do want to sell the kit, the bike and the tires within the next 2 months and will sell them seperate if it works out faster and better for everyone.  I can check on the Australia Post web site together with the Cruzbike site (which may give the weight and dimensions  of the kit) to see what postage will cost.

Here is a link for the Cruzbike conversion when listed on eBay. The best offer I got was $AU 550.  I have only listed it once when there were free listings.

Thanks for that information.  In that case I would probably be better to repack my conversion kit and sell it separate  from the  cycle.  How are they shipping for only $45?  I bought my kit from Western Australia.  I live on the East Coast closer to the US by a long ways but the cost of shipping is probably the same.

I am a bit of an enthusiast and mainly wanted to build one of these bikes and learn how to ride it.  I also have two high pressure slick tires with tubes that I bought to go on the donor bike.  These may be of interest to you and probably easy to ship with the kit as well.  The tires and kit have not done more than 100km as I have 9 bikes and was more interested in the building process and learning new riding skills than actually owning and regular riding of a cruz bike.  I enjoyed my experience with it and I found they are a great bike for short fun rides as long as not too many steep hills to climb.

Lee

Thanks for your interest.  Yes I have a PayPal account and prefer funds in $US has I buy many items from the US, so that is no problem.  But I live in Australia... ...so shipping to US will cost something.

The kit is complete and in as new condition.  The kit is on a donor bike now that I am wanting to sell because moving to Philippines in 3 months. But I may find it better to sell the kit separate as it can be shipped overseas.

I am not sure what the kits cost  of the kit is in the US now or how much shipping will be.....but I can check on this and you can give me any more specifics from your end that may help.

Well  that is a serious offer.  Can you wait ten days?  I am thinking of listing again on eBay to see if I can sell as a Cruz Bike.  If I do not get an offer worth while....I will take the kit off and sell the bike separate.

The tires are 26 inch Maxxis Slicks 26x1.5.  I bought them especially for the Cruz bike conversion and they are recommended up to 80 psi.

Thanks for your interest.  Yes I have a PayPal account and prefer funds in $US has I buy many items from the US, so that is no problem.  But I live in Australia......so shipping to US will cost something.

The kit is complete and in as new condition.  The kit is on a donor bike now that I am wanting to sell because moving to Philippines in 3 months. But I may find it better to sell the kit separate as it can be shipped overseas.

I am not sure what the kits cost  of the kit is in the US now or how much shipping will be.....but I can check on this and you can give me any more specifics from your end that may help.

cheers,
Lee
