Anybody Built a Bomber Cargo Rack for the Sofrider V2?   Message List

Re: [Cruzbike] Anybody Built a Bomber Cargo Rack for the Sofrider V2?

Hi

I toke a closer look at the old man mountain racks, and i dont think
they are the best solution. The problem is that they do not have lower
bar to hang your panniers at. Some panniers have the hooks below the
top of the bag, like my laptop pannier. So if i can not hang them
lower, then i can not have something ontop of my rack. Like a basket,
or a topcase.

With lower bar for panniers:

Without the lower bar:

Besides, lower bars means lower weight center.
