I have almost completed my low-rider based on Tom Traylor's recommended geometry using a modified Cruzbike kit on the front.
Photos have been uploaded to an album named Duncan
Fork was an early Cannondale Headshok with elastomer suspension and cromoly legs pressed into an alloy crown.
Cranks are 125mm because I had them, but I may try 150mm which I also have.
I am 5' 10" and my inseam is about 83cm.
Rohloff hub gives plenty of gear range with 63T chainring, 16T rear cog.
Wheels are 406 (20").
The bike started out as a copy of a Toxy ZR but the handling at speed was always a bit twitchy for my liking. Not enough trail I suspect.
I decided to cut off the boom and slacken the head angle and try a Cruzbike kit with the idea of swapping it to the MTB it was designed for later. However the BB was too high so I bit the bullet and chopped 80mm off the chainstays to suit the smaller wheels.
I have moved the seat forward since taking these photos so it is much more reclined and comfortable. I could barely ride it more than a few minutes before getting severe pressure on my bum before doing as it was. That left the rack almost rubbing on the tyre so it has been removed pending modification of the mounting brackets.
I hope to do an 80km hilly ride on Saturday so I will know if I like it after that.
