There is another way, when my wife got
our 1st Silver Cross Pram, it came with a fold down Buddy Seat,
which clamped onto the Pram and when another kid was to be seated, you lift the
backrest and push it back (was on a piano hinge) and straps held the back to
the seat base. Had a seat belt too---those Brits think of everything.
Applying this to the Cruzbike, all you
need is a hardshell seat with a hinged backrest.
Lay the back down on the rear wheel to
get on/off, shift your body forward with both fit on the pavement, turn your
upper body around and pull the back section up and lock it in place, possibly
using a locking back brace. Using this, you can add a Head Rest (neck support).

Am trying to source a small
light weight hydaulic ram, Joshua.
This would allow the seat to recline on the flats
and to come upright for city and hill riding. [:D] Operate via cable
release to the handlebars. You would also be able to lower the
seat back to make it easier to mount.
Will let you know how we go.
Regards, John
