OK that last message was clearly just for Ryan. But if anyone else has sponser suggestions then feel free to share them, just dont commit us to anything with out letting the rest of the team discuss it.

 

So since I started making some noise I might as well make a little more. Tournament name. I have a great idea:

                            The 1st Generation Children of the Corn Tournament.

This covers everything we could need in a name. It covers our current name, Cornfed, as well as our alternate names involving death/horror. I also like the "generation" over "annual" so we if we dont have it every year we can still keep the theme going of 2nd Generation, 3rd Generation, etc. I personally think it kicks ass and i challenge anyone to come up with something better.

   I supposed having it on a football weekend could be tough. The problem is trying to avoid a weekend that conflicts with the Club Series, sectionals and regionals. Regionals are being held September 30-October 1 and October 7-8. Do we try and hold it on one of those weekend or wait till Oct. 14-15. Any later than that and we will have to worry more about cold weather and conflicting with Harvest Moon, and Texas comes to town the 21st.

   As for the fields I was thinking we could have them on the same fields as we did for our small tournament last fall. If we can get three more fields out of that spot we can get 12 teams(5 fields x 2 teams per field = 10 teams + 2 teams with a bye= 12 total teams). If we can only get two more fields then we can still have 10 teams which i think should be the minimum we go for. If some one knows of better field options then please share.

   I guess thats all for now from my end. Keep this going so the sooner we figure all this out the better chance we have of pulling it off.
