New for 2009: A 10-round magazine limit will be enforced for all Night Pistol Divisions. The training benefit of having to make one reload per stage on the clock, in the dark while manipulating a flashlight cannot be overstated. Plus, as long as we're keeping score there should be some parity.
CLASS 1: Gun mounted light with laser
CLASS 2: Gun mounted light, no laser
CLASS 3: Hand held flashlight with laser
CLASS 4: Hand held flashlight, no laser
Scoring: We will continue to use the same relaxed IDPA scoring that we use in our action pistol matches (no failure to neutralize), but IDPA use of cover and tactical priority and tactical sequence target engagement order will be enforced.
Who may participate: CCPC members and experienced IDPA/USPSA competitors. New shooters please join us on Saturday mornings where we can get to know you and your gun handling skills.
Notice: we will be using a strobe light between the shooter and the targets on one stage pointed at the targets. If you are prone to photosensitive epilepsy, please advise us and we will make special arrangements for you.
The weather will be beautiful. Come out and join us. Don't forget our Saturday morning IDPA match and Temple's Sunday morning IDPA match this weekend. If you can't make all three, plan to shoot at least two of the matches.
