2nd Annual Single Stack Challenge Match
July 1, 2006
Equipment Rules
This is a specialty match for traditional 1911 pistols in 45 ACP. To participate in this match you must use a 1911 single stack pistol in 45 ACP and equipment that meets the following requirements.
Holsters
Holsters and magazine carriers must be legal for IDPA, USPSA Single Stack Division, or the 1911 Society’s Single Stack Classic (i.e. designed for everyday wear, concealable, and worn behind the centerline of the body on both sides.) No competition only race gear will be allowed.
Pistols
The definition of a 1911 Pistol is as follows: The 1911 Government Model as designed by John M. Browning and adapted by the U.S. Government as a service pistol, commonly known as the 5 inch Government Model of 1911 and 1911A1. Compact models such as the Colt Combat Commander, Officer’s Model and General Officer’s Model and similar models produced by other manufacturers are acceptable for competition. Basically, if your 1911 single stack 45 ACP pistol and magazines are legal for IDPA CDP Division, USPSA Single Stack Division, or the 1911 Society’s Single Stack Classic Match then they’re legal for our Single Stack Challenge Match.
Magazines
No extended magazines are allowed. Magazines (excluding slam pads) must fit flush with the base of the frame (excluding add on mag-well.) Slam pads on the bottom of magazines are allowed. Exception for Officer's Model length frames: at the start signal the preceding rule banning extended length magazines applies equally to Officer's Model length frames; however, after the start signal the shooter may reload to full length 7- or 8-round magazines.
The top three finishers in each classification will be awarded certificates. You will be classified based on your highest CCPC, IDPA or USPSA classification regardless of division.
