Right. This was what I was getting at. The NCAA definitions of
a "home game" are interesting in their own right, but I want to know
what people think when it comes to calculating ratings. Sorry,
perhaps I did not make it too clear.
I think part of the determination depends on how often a team plays
in a given stadium. Arkansas traditionally plays one or two games
every year in Little Rock. So, even though it is a bit of a trip
from Fayetteville to Little Rock, we might consider the team "used
to" the trip. We definitely know that Little Rock will feel like a
home game to Arkansas when they play UL-Monroe. But how about if
they play another relatively nearby team, like Oklahoma, in Little
Rock? Would Oklahoma bring a lot of fans - enough to reduce
Arkansas' advantage?
I realize it is a pretty subjective topic with many possible teams to
discuss. So, I'm asking in particular about LSU playing in the Sugar
Bowl and the Florida-Georgia game in Jacksonville. Any opinions?
