borderline home/neutral games   Message List

Anyone interested in discussing which sites can be claimed as "home"
fields away from home by college football teams? For example, I am
particularly interested in LSU playing in New Orleans. Should it
count as a home, neutral, or somehwere in between? Other interesting
problems are Washington State playing in Seattle, Florida playing in
Jacksonville or Tampa Bay, and Georgia playing in Atlanta.

I have my own ideas on these examples, based on how distant the city
is from the school and how well the other teams fans travel.
However, those are just hunches on my part. I would like to hear
from people with first-hand knowledge... like has anyone attended a
Georgia-Florida game in Jacksonville. What do you think - is it a
truly neutral field, or does Florida have some advantage?

Thanks.
