Tell him to let you shoot him with it, see if he still says the same
thing....<grin>

Sure, such a caliber tends to require that you remain cool under stress, in
order to be able to place your shots well (i.e.: into vulnerable spots), and
also that you work on your accuracy, but I'd say it's adequate for close
work.

Personally, I use 9mm - it too is regarded by some as 'marginal'. However,
I like having 17 rounds plus 16 more to follow after a single magazine
change.
