I've got a "friend of a friend" who has made the decision to carry a CCW for
personal defense (in Florida.)
I have not talked to her, personally, so am not able to judge the sincerity
of her desire, or the level of her commitment.
She is in the Tampa area, and I intend to recommend the following sites for
further web and local action:
http://www.usconcealedcarry.com/
http://womenandguns.servertalk.in/womenandguns.html
http://www.staysafestreets.com/SFlorida.htm
http://gunsafety.kisscentral.net/
As you can see, I've given her some good national organizations to seek
knowledge from, and a couple of local businesses who were recommended for
the level of their training classes.
My question, this morning is this: What should my general recommendation be
to her at this starting point?
Pistol, revolver?
.380, .38 Spc., 9mm (not my favorite for this task at all), .45 (a fun
caliber that I think anyone can shoot with less reaction than with a .9mm
(unless the 9mm was in a 1911),)
Responses from the group?
Thanks.
