Just wanted to tell you about our upcoming tactical handgun class.

Course: Tactical Handgun

a semi-automatic handgun
at least 4 magazines
pistol belt, holster, mag pouches

This class is the prerequsite for all of our handgun classes,
including the Handgun Tuneup Clinic, Advanced Tactical Handgun,
Shooting with Vehicles -- Handgun, and the Jeff Gonzeles sequence.

You get to do stuff not allowed on the public ranges such
as draw from the holster, rapid fire, shoot in various positions,
and shoot while moving. Very intense class for 1 day.

This course will be taught at Angeles Shooting Ranges,
on the Fort Angeles Private Firing Range.

Course objectives:

* Learn the basic manual of arms for the weapon:
o draw/holster load/unload magazines, ready position, use of
safety
* Acquire the basic shooting mechanics for the weapon:
o shooting platform: grip, stance, foot placement, balance
o trigger and sight management: aim, press, recover
o deliver a 1 inch group at 3 yards in 4 seconds
* Manage malfunctions and reloads to keep the weapon working under
conditions of stress
* Shoot the weapon in a large variety of shooting positions and shooting
conditions
* Break the dangerous square range mentality by learning to shoot while
moving
* Enhance your awareness of your environment while shooting by
performing complex maneuvers as a group in a safe manner
* Utilize your weapon under low light conditions in a variety of
shooting postitions
* Add realism and stress to the conditions under which you train
