PROPOSED "SAFETY" REGULATIONS WOULD DRY UP AMMUNITION SALES
The NRA, did come across with some info on it in the Grass Roots
message this weekend, but seemingly again a bit on the late side,
compaired with other sources.
NRA-ILA Grassroots Alert Vol. 14, No. 27 06/29/07 PROPOSED "SAFETY"
REGULATIONS WOULD DRY UP AMMUNITION SALES
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has proposed
new rules that would have a dramatic effect on the storage and
transportation of ammunition and handloading components. The proposed
rule indiscriminately treats ammunition, powder and primers as
"explosives."
The public comment period ends July 12. To file your own comment, or

OSHA-2007-0032"; you can read OSHA's proposal and learn how to submit

I looked at the links and found out that the public comment period has
been extended to September 10th. You can look at the comments that
have been made so far at
http://www.regulations.gov/fdmspublic/component/main. I'm curious to
know where are the comments from the "big" guns like the NRA, GOA,
CCRKBA, and the like. What will such a thing do to our ability to have
students in any of our classes?
There are many government layers regulating the whole field of
firearms and it seems their department's regulations conflict with
other agency's. It seems that OSHA conflicts with BATFE regarding
small arms ammunition transportation and storage but is speechless
regarding the transportation and storage of components and such by
private citizens in their homes and private conveyances.
Now that we have an extension, lets get the comments to them.
