You can use the sight if it is sturdy. I would not recommend doing that
with a factory Glock sight. I think it might tear it out. You can also
use the edge of the ejection port. The same thing works on the side of
your hip or holster. DO NOT POINT THE MUZZLE AT YOURSELF. I would keep
the grip in my hand not the slide as you would have better control and
are ready to fire once cleared. Not to mention things might be real
exciting right about then and you don't want your hand by the muzzle.
Remember you are doing this because something went wrong in a gun fight
a) you only have the use of one hand b) you've had a malfunction c) some
one is shooting at you. This is good for stove pipes but remember you
have magazines not seated (use the post to seat) and doubles feeds to
worry about as well.

how does one do that? use the rear sight on the corner of the post or
do you hold the slide in hand and use the grip against the post? Not as
but the thigh works good too in a bind.
'Let us speak courteously, deal fairly, and keep ourselves armed and
ready.'
