Hey! sorry for all the emails. I left something out of the other email that we have been discussing for this swim meet. We want to emphasize that this meet is fun and kind of an opener to the season. We are going to encourage our swimmers to swim events that they might not necessarily be good at but have wanted to swim to see what his/her time might be now. We feel like it's a good meet to get a feel for some of the strokes that we don't always get a chance to swim. I just know that in general, I swim the same events/strokes at all meets and never think to swim the strokes that I'm not good at, but if someone were to emphasize that this meet would be a good one to try new strokes, I would probably change what I would sign up for. Having said this, this definitely isn't a guideline for the meet, just a side note :)

Again, sorry for the flood of emails.

Hey guys!

We are officially hosting our "Radical Relays and Sprint Spectacular" swim meet again this year on October 10! It will be a one day meet. For those of you who have not attended in the past, it is a lot of fun! There's always a great turnout, and we're hoping that will be true again this time around! The meet format is designed to be all short events and fun relays, hence the name of the meet. I'm attaching an info sheet and sign-up sheet. The sign-up sheet isn't due until October 4th, so you have some time, but I hope that you can all attend!

Look forward to hearing back from you! If you do decide to attend, please email me back so that we can get an idea of how many teams are interested! Let me know if you have any questions.

Save the date--Furman University in Greenville, SC, will be hosting our third annual Winter Championships on Sat., Feb. 28. Tentatively, warm-ups will begin around noon, and the meet will feature the standard range of events condensed into one day and will conclude no later than 6:00 p.m.

The meet will be held at the Westside Aquatics Center, and we will have lanes designated for warm-up/cool-down throughout the meet.

Hey!

Earlier I said that UGA would be hosting 2 meets this semester. �We were planning on hosting one on the 31st of January, but we could not reserve the pool on that weekend, so instead we will be attending Miami of Ohio's swim meet on the 31st. �The only other time that we have to possibly host a meet this semester would be in april. �At this time, we are trying to decide if we want to host a meet or travel to another one. �If we do decide to host one, I will update everyone about that sooner to that time.
