Coach ~ I may have been too hasty in my response, and may have missed
something you were trying to point out... if so, please tell.
FYI, my plan is to run in a new pair of shoes (current pair will be
ready to retire a in a couple of weeks). I'm also (assumed that this
was known, bit may not have been) thinking of getting new shorts and a
singlet to run in (the psychological boost/reward mentioned in my first
response). I want to try them in a run before race day to see if that
is going to work for me.
Other things that I have been doing is running in shorts already
(despite being cold) since I've been in tights all winter. My concern
is that I start to chaffe early in the season, and I want to see where
I'm at and start that process, if it's an issue, now, rather than later.
The only thing that I haven't done, that may be of some benefit is heat
acclimation. I don't expect it to be hot, but it could very well be
warmer than I am use to. Any thoughts, suggestions?
Any way, I thought I might have responded too quickly with out thinking
through your question, and wanted to share more info if it is of any
benefit. Thanks again.
Keep running...
- BK.
