M - I need new shoes so I skipped today.

T - Swim. 2x800 (3:07, 3:17, 3:20, 3:20... 3:14, 3:20, 3:21, 3:19) w/ 1:30 recovery. I was so paranoid about leaving my laptop at home again, that I left my swim bag by the front door and didn't realize it until I got to the high school, so I went back and got it and rushed back to the pool.  I had planned on an easy mile swim, but my goggles started to fill and burn my left eye, so I did 2x800 instead. [rushed]

W - Run. 5.0 mi in 42:15 (8:27) at 66%PE.  I got an old pair of shoes, put on the headphones and listed to a download, and ran easy through gently rolling hills.  Felt really good to get out and run on a peaceful, cold night.  [R-knee]

H - Swim.  4x400 w/ 1 min recoveries.  400's were completed in 6:32, 6:26, 6:28, and 6:29.  Felt pretty good. In the evening, I watched my girls take turns on the treadmill and I did some weights... until Survivor came on!  [none]

F - Rest day.  I had a busy day, but I managed to pick up my new shoes (blue/yellow Mizuno Wave Riders).

S - Run.  I put on old shoes due to all the salt on the roads and ran with my 7-yr old daughter in her second 5K, the Jingle Bell Run.  All I can say is that I really enjoyed running this race with her.  We walked more than we did in practice, but she was a little overwhelmed by all the people and the downtown streets and bridges.  But we have a great time together.  She was the youngest female finisher and finished 45th in her AG (1-14).  Afterward, we met up with mommy and her younger sister (who ran in the candy cane run) and had cookies, banana's, and other goodies until it was time to go.

S - Rest day.  Extremely busy day (my 12th Wedding Anniversary) and had a lot of fun at the Bengals game with my wife.  We met up with the girls afterward and had a nice dinner with the grandparents and crashed at home catching the end of the 4:00 games to see how the Bengals' play-off hopes fared from the other games... and it was a good day, indeed.

I had a lot going on this week.  I didn't have shoes and didn't want to stress my joints more than they already felt, so went easy on the running this week.  I was too tired on Saturday night to get on the bike... needed the rest and time to complete some errands before we go on vacation next week.  We'll be busy at Disney and I don't know how much exercise I will be able to fit in.  But I do plan on trying to get a run and/or swim in before I go.
