I have been running off and on this year. I got into decent shape
for the Charles Harris 10K in late February, then slacked off, and
now I am running 2-3 days a week. Not great but better than
nothing. Now I am trying to get into decent shape for the Peachtree
with a modest long-term goal of running the Atlanta Half on Turkey
Day.
I am going to Asia for two weeks in the beginning of June. I am
going to try to run when I am there but we will see how things go.
I am really excited to run in another county because I have heard
that it is a great way to see places, especially in early morning
runs. If I am able to run, I should be sufficiently heat-acclimated
for the Peachtree. I am going to Thailand, Singapore, Maylasia and
Hong Kong. Bangkok has a high of 100 today with a LOW of 82. That
is plenty hot for a boy from Buffalo.
I was going to try to meet up with the Hash House Harrier group in
Bangkok but our schedule changed and it looks like I won't be able
to. I hope to run 4-5 times while I am gone. We will see. I might
be enough just to survive the trip as it looks like our schedule
will be jam packed.
If I do run, I will give a report when I get back.
