Ted,

Your optimism is inspiring. I think the Mack pick was good, even if it was
a bit of a reach. Recent reports suggest that the Browns were trying to
work the Jets out of a 2010 #2 pick, but couldn't do it, so they went ahead
with the Mack selection.

The versatility Mack brings may help this year, if Fraley is still on the
roster. Both players could swing over to guard in a pinch.

I never know what's going on in Oakland. Davis has no patience.

I know you're joking (maybe), but there probably will be some steriod
suspensions amongst the USC linebackers in the future. Mathews would have
been nice because of the local connection, but everyone needs to remember
that Mangini is building for the long haul. Although the pass rush will
suffer in 09, he will add more capable defenders in the coming years.
