ClaphamBullfrogs@yahoogroups.com is a mailing list for the UK's premier Ultimate Frisbee team - who play on Clapham Common in South London. As Hombres then Shotgun, Clapham-based teams were UK National Champions for ten years on the trot from 1988-1997. We broke up for a couple of years but have reformed with a whole load of new blood as 'Clapham Ultimate'.

Our first two seasons (2001/02) yielded enormous success - winning the UK Tour hands down both years and the second team always in the running; we were the best european team at World Clubs in Hawaii (2002) (11th) and finished 2nd at the European Championships in Prague (2001). We completed the 'Quadruple-Double' in 2004, winning both the UK Tour and Nationals four years in a row. The 2005 season culminated in us being crowned European Club Champions, in addition to us picking up our fifth UK Nationals title. In 2006, we won our sixth Nationals title then travelled to Perth to compete in the World Club Championships; we narrowly missed out on the semi's but finished as the highest placed european team (5th). The 2007 season was arguably our most successful, completing the unprecedented 'Triple Crown' of the UK Tour, Nationals and European Club titles. Good work Clapham!

Players are expected to be reasonably experienced and have a never-say-die attitude. Feel free to come try out - but if it's obvious you're still a tadpole, you'll be told to come back when you've grown legs and can ribbit with the best. There is a rough admissions policy - please talk to one of our captains (Sam or Ollie) or any of the regular clapham players. Regular practice attendance is OBLIGATORY! Old friends are always welcome down - we love cannon fodder ;-)

We're now running Mini 3-on-3 tournaments, with players of all levels coming to Clapham to play on our home turf.
