Thanks for your post
It has made my Day
I too agree with most all you have said
I live in Ohio and we get blocked out for a lot of games also
I live close to Col. ohio but even around here most have jumped on The Indians band wagon of which I will never do ..I guess we will just have to let them do what needs to be done and wait and see the outcome

I live in Indiana and have yet to go to GABP. The main reasons being
the price of tickets and the price of gas to get there. I had a
chance to go 2 years ago, but had a family emergency and didn't get
there. Unfortunately most Reds games are clacked out here so I was
only able to watch 4-5 games on TV this past season. This is fine
though since I listen to 90% of the games on WLW. Marty Brenneman is
better to listen to than the ESPN or Fox announcers.
When I first heard about the Casey trade I was mad and believed that
this was another thing like Eric, Barry, and Boone. However, I saw a
report on TV and in the paper that Tony LaRussa said that this
pitcher was one of the best young left-handers playing right now and
should only improve. Since LaRussa has had so much success and
thinks highly of Williams then maybe this trade is a good idea.
After reading other posts from the group and knowing that this frees
the Reds from $8 million then they should be able to use that to get
1 or 2 more experienced pitchers. I also saw a Reds blog that said
they are considering using Ortiz and LaRue as potential "trade
bait." The blog said that they want to keep the 4 outfielders and
will use Dunn as 1B. This SHOULD be a good thing if the new owners
do go out and get some players that will help this team move to the
top. I'll try to be an optimist and believe that is what they're
going to do.
Anyone who wonders how long I've been a fan, I've been watching or
listening to the Reds since 1975 when I was 5 y/o.
