Hello everyone!

Although I wish the Reds were having a much better season than this,
I do have some *good* news to share with the many Reds fans in this
group.

Blessid Union of Souls (BUOS) -- the Cincinnati-based music group --
released a new CD in May 2005 entitled "Perception," which has been
receiving very good reviews so far. Some of you reading this may
have purchased this new disc already, but there is more relevant
news for baseball fans to know.

When the team moved into the Great American Ball Park, BUOS released
music for Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Cincinnati Reds. The
disc was entitled "Play Ball" and was released in 2003 in that
inaugural season. You may not be familiar with the disc since it
was sold in limited quantities only in the team shops at GABP and at
the Westin downtown. Songs from that CD are played during home
games even now ... you probably didn't know they were available for
purchase, though.

Now, in 2005, Clubhouse [the music group's baseball moniker] is back
again with the disc "Soul Patrol" with some remixes of the "Play
Ball" tracks as well as new recordings dedicated to the Minnesota
Twins. Both "Play Ball" and "Soul Patrol" are available for direct
sale via a new website. They can be found at:
http://clubhouseconnection.net

Under the Music section, there are samples of tracks on the discs
released (i.e. "Soul Patrol" and "Play Ball") for your listening
pleasure. Additionally, under the For Sale section, you can buy the
discs for sale at a reasonable price ... discs you cannot find
anywhere else for sale as of today.

Blessid Union lead guitarist Jeff Pence in conjunction with fellow
band members, including lead singer Eliot Sloan, have recorded some
great baseball-related music. You will want to check these songs
out for yourselves since these could be future hits in the making
AND there are sure to be recordings (for other MLB teams and
possibly other sports) that will be released.

I speak from firsthand experience – Paul "Jake" Jacobson (mutual
friend of Jeff Pence and me) along with Jeff's record label
[Front Street Records] have released a great assembly of sports-
themed music. I recommend it to all listeners.
