I don't know if I would have Freel batting second and playing second. Jiminez is very patient at the plate and would give Furcal the chance to steal second. Plus, Randa is also a very good hitter. He is also suited to hit in the 2 hole. I like Furcal, but you got to keep him out of jail. I don't think I would give Kearns up for him. Still think you need a number 1 pitch first. Although I like the pickups this offseason, we still don't have a number one pitcher.

I would make that trade stright up for Kearns and Furcal, they need a ss and a lead off hitter, and I would put Freel at 2nd base. Bat Furcal 1st, Freel 2nd, Casey 3rd, Griffey 4th, Dunn 5th, Pena 6th, Randa, 7th, Catcher, Pitcher.

Hello everyone,
New to the group but I was wondering what you all think about Austin
being traded ?
If Austin does get traded (which I really hope he doesn't, he is my
favorite player on the team now that Boonie is gone) I hope it is for
a top shelf pitcher like A.J. Burnett. He is a solid #1. In fact
when he is healthy he is a Mark Prior type of pitcher.
I also heard rumors that Atlanta and Cincy are talking about Kearns
for Furcal. However I think that deal is dead. What have you heard ?
I look forward to talking to you all.
