The order deadline is TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24TH. The order closes after that. You cannot get in a late order. Again, the deadline is THIS TUESDAY. Go to our website and follow the link on the blog to order and pay for your stuff. We have not hit the minimums yet and we need a few more orders confirmed so it will go through.
I don't want to get any frantic emails on Wednesday that you forgot to check your email for the last month or you didn't know we could order online or that your cat chewed your mouse and you couldn't order. No excuses!
I'm not ordering a bunch of extras so get your order in. Operators are standing by. Jeff

A few guys did this ride Sunday (link below) at Sacramento River Bend Rec Area just north of Red Bluff off the Jelly's Ferry exit. What a blast. They're kind of a mix between Oroville & Chico trails and with beautiful views off the bluffs over the river. Highly recommended. But I've heard they can get a bit muddy during the winter.
I'll probably be there on the sidelines with some type of clever hand-up in the
morning.

I can also bring the Paul Comp pop up tent which might be fun, or it might just be a hassle. Any thoughts? We'd have cred for sure, and I can still bring 2 more people in my car.

I know there is a slew of groups rides tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone would like to/is planning on going later in the day when it's gotten above freezing.

Subject: Chico Corsa Cycling Club Hill Cimbing Camp
Hi All.... One of my goals for this winter is to improve my hill climbing. Hopefully most of you will have a similar goal... I mean who wouldn't want to climb better? Someone supposedly asked Eddy Merkx for the secret of climbing hills so well. His answer was, "Climb more hills". In that spirit, here is what I was thinking of doing.... A Mini Hill Climbing Camp. Three days: Friday Saturday, and Sunday. We'll climb all the local hills over these 3 days.... Most likely it's never been done before! And maybe (if there is enough interest) after we finish on Sunday getting together for some burritos, tacos, etc at some restaurant where we can rehash our epic adventure.
A tentative schedule would look like this:
Friday - Up Centerville, then up Honey Run, down Neal and up Clark.
Saturday - Up Neal, Wayland, Foster, etc to Clark, down Clark and up Pentz, down Neal.
Sunday - Up Cohasset to the store, back down and over to Humbolt, up Humbolt and Hwy 32 to Forest Ranch store, then back down Hwy 32.
Should be an epic 3 days so think about this and let me know if you are interested in doing this and I'll formalize the plans
Proposed dates are Dec 11, 12 and 13th. Let me know if you want to participate - you don't need to do all, but you might regret it, if you don't!
Hi Everyone! The next event in the Chico Hill Climb Time Trial Series will be held this Saturday(not Sunday!) - the Neal Road Time Trial on Saturday, November 14th. Registration will open at 8:30am at the corner of Neal Road and Hwy. 99, with the first rider going off at 9:01am. The Neal Road Time Trial is approximately 8.2 miles long and includes approximately 1,450 feet in elevation gain.
Also, if anyone can help me start the riders off, that would be AWESOME - you can still race the event, just be the last rider to go off. If you can help, shoot me an e-mail at lorrod7@....
Hope to see you there!
The Bikely.com map of the Neal Road course can be found here:
Thanks for posting Tom. I'll be there. (I hope). JO
