The WBC Strikes Back   Message List

I was not a big fan of the WBC idea. I am still not an advocate of the
tournament. After reading Kevin Hench's column on Fox Sports I am
doubly against Cubs players participating in the contest. Many of the
pitchers that participated have had huge struggles this year. They
didn't include Carlos Zambrano on the struggling list, although his
first month was winless. Still the participating pitchers having
struggles or problems list is very long and includes; Jake Peavy, Brad
Lidge, Mike Timlin, Daniel Cabrera, Bartolo Colon, Fernando Rodney,
Odalis Perez, Francisco Liriano, Freddy Garcia, Johan Santana, Carlos
Silva, Dontrelle Willis, Julian Tavarez plus over fifteen others. It
is a frightening list. I am including the link to the story.
